YOUR NEXT STEPS START TODAY
Your first 3a. Your real-life plans.
01 /
Protect your growing family
Help protect your loved ones financially in the event of death or inability to work, depending on the cover chosen.
What to know
Depending on the cover selected, a death benefit can help your family financially. Disability protection or premium waiver can help preserve your plan if you can no longer work.
02 /
Start early. Save regularly.
Give your retirement saving time to grow, with a monthly amount that fits your budget.
What to know
Save regularly towards the standard of living you want after your working life. Compare investment potential, contractual guarantees and costs over your chosen horizon.
03 /
A home of your own
Your 3a may be pledged for a future home, subject to owner-occupied housing rules and lender approval.
What to know
Your third pillar may be pledged as security for a mortgage or used for indirect amortisation. For pillar 3a, owner-occupied housing rules apply; the lender must accept the arrangement.
04 /
Make more of your salary
Eligible 3a contributions can reduce your taxable income, within your annual allowance.
What to know
Eligible 3a contributions can reduce your taxable income within the applicable limits. We check your situation and distinguish 3a deductions from 3b tax treatment.
05 /
Invest with a plan
Choose an investment approach suited to your horizon and risk tolerance. Capital can fluctuate.
What to know
From a security-focused approach to a higher equity allocation: explore the options available under each contract. Some plans allow strategy adjustments; more equities also mean more volatility and risk.
06 /
A new job. A new chapter.
Changing jobs or taking a career break? Review premium flexibility and 3a/3b options before you commit.
What to know
A career break, a move or a change of employment? We examine 3a/3b adaptation options, including a possible contractual switch where available. Existing 3a assets remain subject to statutory restrictions.
We compare what matters: benefits, premium commitment, fees, surrender values and flexibility.

A FIRST LOOK, BEFORE WE TALK
Small steps. A bigger picture.
Make the numbers yours. Adjust your saving, horizon and return assumption. Then let’s turn an illustration into a proposal.
Use the amount left after any insurance protection, acquisition charges and other premium costs. These costs vary by contract; the monthly premium may be higher.

And your potential tax saving?
For 2026, eligible employees with a pension fund may contribute up to CHF 7,258 in ordinary pillar 3a contributions. Pillar 3b has different tax treatment.

2026 tax data · Swiss Federal Tax Administration. The annual taxes before and after are official service outputs; taxable wealth is fixed at zero in both scenarios. The displayed difference and effective cost are local arithmetic, not an assessment.
The complete contribution goes into your 3a plan. The tax saving reduces its effective cost; it is not a guaranteed investment return.
You could use the saving to ease your household budget, build an accessible emergency reserve, or fund additional long-term saving. Extra 3a contributions remain subject to your annual allowance. Compare the complete plan: fees, insurance protection, investment risk and flexibility all matter.
For ordinary 2026 contributions: CHF 7258 with a pension fund; without one, up to 20% of eligible earned income, capped at CHF 36288. These parameters come from the FSIO and OPP 3. This tool excludes catch-up contributions and assumes eligibility. Pillar 3b does not have the same general 3a deduction. 3a withdrawal is restricted and benefits are taxed when paid out. Source-tax and cross-border situations require an individual check.
BEFORE YOU START
A few useful answers.
Why an insurance third pillar?
An insurance contract can combine retirement saving with protection. Compare the premium commitment, insured benefits, fees and surrender values with other options before signing.
3a or 3b?
Pillar 3a offers deductions subject to eligibility and limits, with restricted access to capital. Pillar 3b is more flexible and has different tax rules. We assess which structure fits your circumstances.
Is a return guaranteed?
No return shown in the simulator is guaranteed. The insurer’s proposal specifies any contractual guarantee, investment risks, costs and insured benefits.
What happens after my request?
We clarify your situation during a free initial call and then prepare suitable proposals. Any application, health questionnaire or insurer acceptance happens separately.
Can I switch an insurance plan from 3a to 3b?
This must be checked with the insurer. Some arrangements may allow future premiums or cover to continue under a different framework, subject to contractual and tax conditions. A 3a balance cannot simply be withdrawn or freely transferred to 3b outside a legal withdrawal case. We review the available options and their consequences before making any change.
