Notify and request confirmation

Give your insurer the new address and actual moving date. Request written confirmation of the premium applicable after the move. Keep the confirmation with your policy. Avoid assuming that an old quote remains valid at a different address or that a move automatically creates a cancellation right.

Review your care pathway

If your model uses a named doctor or care network, check access near your new home before arranging treatment. Ask how to change the nominated provider and how ongoing referrals are handled. For planned hospital care, ask what the change of canton means for your specific treatment and cover.

Coordinate the household paperwork

Review subsidy correspondence and update other insurers covering your home, car or liability. Keep a dated list of notifications and responses. A move is a useful moment to review needs, but replacing a satisfactory policy should have a clear benefit after costs and conditions are compared.
